tulum and beyond question
Hey! I want to book the Tulum and beyond tour for my beau and myself and wondered if there's a big difference in taking this tour on a Saturday over a Tuesday? I'm thinking a Saturday would be busier at the sites?

I couldn't recommend the Tulum and Beyond trip any higher. It was by far the best tour we have ever been on and we have done many. It was also my adult children's favorite and we sent my daughter's friends and they loved it. Mitch is the absolute best guide we have ever had. It is a small group so you aren't overwhelmed and you can tell, Mitch is in no hurry, he wants you to enjoy your time. And we absolutely did! I would go on this tour again also!

i did this tour a few years ago. had been out all night drinking and think i got an hour's sleep before i had to be at the tour. i kept thinking to myself...this better be a dam* good tour b/c i'd rather be in bed!!! i was so NOT disappointed. this tour was awesome. the cenotes were cool, the beach and the lunch at Tulum was fantastic, the tour guide, Mitch, rocked AND the "hot rocks" part of the tour were very informative. definitely i would highly recommend this tour. enjoy!!

We went on a Saturday, however it was a slower time of year. It was not crowded and you will have your own tour guide. The one cenote we went to Cenote Azul had quite a few local Mexican teens swimming, but it was fun to watch them enjoying themselves!

I LOVED the Fat Cat! My lovely boyfriend, on the other hand, couldn't stand how rough the water was the day we went and got a bit seasick! I looooove boating (I grew up a river rat here in MN on the Mississippi and St. Croix rivers) but Jeff has a much weaker stomach than I do. We plan to pay someone to take us out on a smaller catamaran from the beach.
On a funny note, when we were on Fat Cat and they take you out on the ocean on the faster dinghy, I snapped a HILARIOUS pic of Jeff with a look of sheer fear on his face!!! He never will admit he was scared but I have the proof!

I'd love to but it was from a waterproof disposable. Wish I had a scanner!
Actually, this brings up another question...if I bring my digital on this tour, is there a place I can put it while I'm snorkeling so it's safe? Maybe put it in a ziplock just in case? Would those of you who went on this tour already recommend bringing a digital camera? |
