Thanks for the information Riss.

That pretty much sums it up perfectly for me .

The tree and mountain backdrops are very beautiful.

I would definitely prefer the dryer areas with the clearer water.

I am not sure how practical this area is from the UK (there used to be packages to this area but I think they cut them back due to the recession - so probably will reappear when things pick up).

I will book mark this page and look again next time...

thanks

You are welcome.

It's usually common to get good deals on packages from here to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta or Cabo.....but harder or at least more tricky to get to the best places on the Pacific coast, which are Huatulco/Oaxaca, Zihuantanejo and the Costalgre north of Manzanillo- also more expensive.

I imagine your best and cheapest bet from the UK might be to look for a decent deal to Mexico City and then from there catch a smaller domestic flight to one of those three places?

Or, get a flight to Puerto Vallarta if you can get a good deal and then book your own accomodations up in Sayulita, that's another option if you want to learn to surf!

Or, a decent

You are welcome, glad you liked it. We were there again this past winter over xmas, we stayed even farther north up in Rincon de Guayabitos. For some reason I thought you two had been to PV before?

When we go again, I think we will stay in the Romantic zone or even in a condo somewhere down by Mismaloya or Boca de Tomatlan, or in between PV and there. Nicer beaches and clearer water down there, gorgeous scenery as the mountains come right to the ocean. If you prefer AI, if you can snag a decent deal, Dreams (the one south of PV not up in Nuevo, I think it has Villamagna in the name?) looks and sounds awesome.
