5th ave Hotel Help

My wife told me to stop looking and make a decision. So here I am trying to.

We need a place for one night on our way to the airport from Akumal. We have been to Playa many times for day trips from Akumal but never pay much attention to the hotels.

My wife wants something right on 5th w/ a balcony and I want something nice, maybe a step down from La Tortuga or Playa Palms.

Any help would be appreciated...before I get castrated.

I was thinking Hotel Lunata.

Thanks

So many things to consider. North end or South? Price range? Wherever you end up, if its right on 5th, will be VERY noisy. Bring earplugs. So many places to choose from. Some may not do a one night stay depending on time of year.

I've heard people like Hotel Pension San Juan

We liked Jungle Caribe

(both in the heart of 5th, near 6th & 8th street)

We've stayed at Hotel Lunata a couple of times.... it's a very nice, small hotel, right on 5th, and some rooms have small balconies overlooking 5th.

We've never noticed much noise, even in the rooms facing 5th. Those balconies are quite small. Fine for one night, though....
They have larger rooms/suites facing the garden, too, with bigger balconies....
They serve coffee and a light breakfast (included) in the garden area. It's a very, very pretty hotel, and in a great location.

Thanks so much caramba.. I will go w/ Lunata unless someone has a better idea.

If you or someone you know ever needs a great beach front condo in Akumal, let me know, we have one, and at some real great recession prices.

Good to know!
And I don't think you can go wrong with Lunata.
