Has anyone stayed at The Elements??
...Or know something about this property?
My concern is that is might be too far north. I would love input on the walking distance to beach clubs, 5th avenue, etc. Thanks! |

Well that depends. It's a fair stumble, you did refer to walking. Stay at La Rana Cansada and spend the vast amount of cash you'll safe on buying you and some of my old friends beer and tequila.
Seriously though, it's long stumble, I wouldn't want to do it. Paul |

We just returned from "The Elements" Saturday (March 13th)
Its a very nice complex, beautiful pool, private beach area & very quiet at night. The view from our condo was spectacular!!! It is a little isolated, but very doable. There is a taxi stand close enough to hail a cab from the reception area of the property. 5th & 38th is about 10 minutes walk. Mamitas is about 15 minutes walk on the beach. Any other questions?

The Elements is away from the usual tourist haunts. It's a 15 min walk or more to where 5th avenue has more restaurants and shops.
It can be dark and quiet in the area at night so I'd suggest taking taxis back and forth. The complex has a large rectangular pool, which you may get all to yourself as the place is never busy. |

How is the beach at The Elements? I swear... I don't know why I can't decide where to stay??? I want to be outside of the loud noise, but not too far away to enjoy the hussle & bussle. Beach & pool do matter to me, would you stay there again? Did you see any other places you would try in the future?

I spent 5 months living in Playacar and was looking for just what you said - quiet but still close enough to everything and not too far from the beach to finish up my winter stay in Playa, and looked into vacation rentals. And I found what I was looking for at Natz Ti Ha. The building is at 1st Ave and Calle 40, and is around the corner from the beach, and a couple of blocks away from 5th Ave. It's close enough to everything but still quiet and cozy. I really liked this building. Plus, it's got 24 hour manned security so if you ever need anything day or night, someone is there to help. It's a few years older than most in the area, and the concrete walls keep the neighbor's noise out. I rented from nasplaya.com and can highly recommend them and the building. Check out the natz ti Ha building on tripadvisor...it's got great reviews. Last edited by liloleme; 03-17-2010 at 09:21 AM.. |

Recent stay at the Elements
hi all,
had an awesome, week stay at the elements last month. we booked through their website with no problems and got a special deal ... The Elements, Playa Del Carmen Hotel, beachfront hotel in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico - Official Website. the units are large, beautiful, 2 bedrooms, 2 bath, full kitchen and dining area, nice patio with loungers, facing the ocean. the canibal royal beach club right in front has a nice mellow vibe and is much more intimate than mamitas or kool and the food is much better. the beaches at this end of town are very nice and not as crowded, it's a 5 minute walk to 5th ave and a convenient little market to stock up on supplies. one of playa's best restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner is just 2 blocks away la cueva del changa. if you want a less crowded, beautiful hotel vacation where you can actually spend some quiet time with someone and still walk to all the hot spots, look at the elements. we're already going back for april! a |
