leedsb and cb1's March Madness trip to PDC
Up at 4:30 AM to try and leave by 5:00. Did all the expected repacking of items that had already been put aside as unnecessary since there seemed to be room at the last minute. Any time there is a miniscule speck of empty space in a suitcase, it must be filled with another unnecessary item, otherwise something might move in transit. We did manage to leave by 5:23, about when expected, and the trip to the airport was uneventful. One of the great advantages to living in VT is that there is never a crowd at the airport. We breezed through check in and security in about 2 minutes, seeing nothing but friendly faces and happy employees. I always appreciate this.
At the moment, we are sitting at the gate awaiting the flight, which is supposed to be on time. So far, so good! ![]() No pics yet though. I would take one with the computer, but I still need to figure that out.Be back soon. |

i'm sorry, but photos or not, I just can't help myself. We're sitting here on the beach in front of the Playa Palms looking at the most tranquil and beautiful aquamarine water one could imagine. There is a chisle chinking away somewhere behind me, and the usual complement of parasails, fishing boats, umbrellas and people looking for chairs. An occasionjal pelican glides overhead, searching for the elusive perfect fish. It's about 80 degrees in the shade.

I guess I'll have to do little quickies every day since picture loading down here is impossibly slow.
So - It's about 6:45 AM here. Sun is up, partly cloudy, pretty breezy and much warmer than it has been at this time in the AM. The waves coming in are from the south east and pretty big. Should make the Cozumel ferry trips kind of interesting. EEEEWWWWW.I've set up the only 2 chairs at PP with arms at the height of the beach with an umbrella for the day. Boog Si Efil ![]()

Today's quickie
After lying in the shade all day, we went to din din last night and then sat on 5th for the daily people watch. I had the computer with me and we Skyped our son and DIL in Manassas from the tables at Starbucks. Turned the laptop around so they could see the action, and the reactions of the people on the street were a riot. Everyone was stopping to look and wave at M&C, who were happy to wave back. The little local kids were particularly entranced with these cyber strangers who could hear and speak in real time. Lots of waving and giggling. I think I'll do this again tonight. Maybe put out a cup for tips. ![]() As Always - boog si efil. ![]()
