Single Gay Male visiting

Hello,

I am a 36 y/o gay male traveling with a group from work. We will be staying at Grand Xcaret starting Jan 27th. I was just wondering if there is any nightlife or even afternoon life nearby in Playa where I might find like minded people. Does not necessarily need to be gay just somewhere that I might escape to on my own without that group that would be acceptable to go solo and still find others to hang out with.

Pretty much any bar in Playa fits that description. It's supereasy to meet people in Playa - everyone is on happy vacation mode, and there's a general accepting and friendly atmosphere in town. There is also a gay bar/night club in Playa called Playa 69 (not an early night venue so much). It's located in the Placita on the corner of Calle 6 and Avenida 5. There are also a couple of new hip bars with DJs, cool music and cool people on Calle Corazon (the street that cuts through the corner of Calle 14 and Avenida 5): X-otic and Impala.
