Grand Sunset or Grand Rivierra ?
OK first post. Flame me if this has already been answered. Are there any differences between these two? I know they are on the same property but are there any differences between the rooms? I have noticed locally that booking the Grand Princess is cheaper than booking the Grand Rivierra. The package lets you use all ameneties at both resorts. The only reason I can see one being more than the other would be the quality of the rooms? Is this true? Thanks. Once again if this has been answered before just post the link. Thanks.

They are mirror images. However, if you book the swim up room, book the Riviera side. More sun, warmer. Nice folks on both sides. Been there twice before. Going back in next Sat. for another fun filled week! Yipee!!!!!!!!!!

as booper said, riviera and sunset side are eactly the same... i am sure you will have a great time...the only unfavorable comment i have ( and this is just laziness on my part) is to have to make dinner reservations in the am at any restaurant for any restaurant ---but if you are in the platinum section they have their own concierge that will make reservations for you.... great lobby bar on the sunset side !!!!!!!!!!!!but then any bar on vacation is great !!!!!! enjoy !!!!

I have to ask:
When I went last time, the travel agent said they were unable to guarantee a room with ocean view, which we requested. We got there and didn't recieve one either. We had booked way in advance, (about 8 months). How did you swing an ocean view? Cheers, |

Even if you booked 2 years in advance or 2 days in advance, they don't reserve your room until you check in - what if someone reserved an ocean room 2 yrs in advance, then never showed up or changed it not until a month before? Then someone else might miss out on having that room because it was booked, ya know? it sucks, but I understand why they do that. The only thing you could probably do is try to check in early... if others are checking in the same day as you, you'd get priority, but not if someone else is already in there.

Well this should be interesting then. The web site I booked from gave you the choice of Platinum or for an extra $100 per person Platinum Ocean View. I booked the Ocean View. I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens when I get there.

I'm happy to help you book a room if you want.... You can pm me too! Sometimes its nice to speak to a person instead of a web site... And my prices are exactly the same if not lower! |

Oh, I apologize, I didn't know there was that option! I would think that would guarantee you ocean view then, or at least I'd hope so! |
