Bringing Large Cups to the Royal PDC.
Hi,
I know this may make me look like a big boozer, but I know some of the other AI's we've gone to give you tiny little cups with your drinks. Now when I'm on vacation, I like a bit more than a tiny glass of beer when lounging by the pool. Last April we went to Jamaica and we noticed a lot of the guests brought large insulated type mugs to get the bartenders to make their drinks in. So my question is, is this a ridiculous thing to do when going to the Royal? Thanks, Jacob |

We have two 16oz stainless, insulated travel mugs we have been taking to all inclusive resorts for the last 14 years. We take them to keep the drinks cold, keep the sand out with the lid on and most importantly, we can control the cleanliness in resorts that furnish the hard plastic drink glasses. We also don't have to use a bunch of the small plastic throw away glasses some use and we see them blowing down the beach or around the pool.
Take an insulated mug and you will be the envy of other guests and you will enjoy having them along. The bartenders can get the quantity right and you won't have to make so many trips back to the bar!! |

Just don't bring those mega Bubba kegs, they're not necessary.
But a small-ish travel mug is a good thing to bring. Keeps drinks cold, sand out of them, and hold more than the little plastic glasses.

Yeah, I've seen some people taking like 64 oz Bubba kegs. We actually have some of those, but they're the small 20 oz ones. Similar to the ones that the guy up top was talking about. I don't think a 20 oz mug sounds ridiculous, do you? Thanks for the responses, Jacob |

I have a 22 oz insulated plastic mug with a team logo on the side..Great way to start a conversation with stranger's..If you get one, make sure it has a wide base, adds stability..
Also I have found that when I pack mine in my carry-on, I put my digital camera inside it or other breakables for added protection.. |
