Playa del Carmen, Mexico forum - Need help finding a beachy type excursion/day trip to another town/area?

We are planning a day trip to IM, taking the ADO bus into Cancun, taxi to PW ferry to IM then back. I see there is a ferry that goes to the hotel zone in Cancun. We thought about taking it back from IM and then riding the hotel zone bus back into town (are friends have never seen the hotel zone). Does anyone know if these buses go to where the ADO bus leaves for Playa?
