Coco's Spay an neuter clinic opened today at the new location with the vet now working full time!!!!!!!!!!!

We have all the permissions needed for the clinic and the kittens will be moving in to their new play rooms later on today once all the A/C units are in place.

Thank you everyone who worked so hard to help us paint the clinic and thank you to everyone who is sponsoring the vet salary making it possible for us to hire the vet full time!

Check out our newsletter written by Caroline Page coming out soon with the first photo's of the new clinic building!

a kitten in the beergarden

I guess Manne almost adopted a kitten.
Since a few weeks the Biergarten has a little baby-cat.
Manne gives her every day food.
When is the best age for a operation?
We are sure that this pet belongs to the neighbours, but they had already so many young dogs and cats and never takes really care of them.
What should we do?
Susie

Hi Susie, how sweet! Are you keeping her?

The most important thing is not the age it's that they weigh at least 1 kilo or 2.2 pounds and that they are healthy. The American Veterinary Medical Association supports early age spay and neuter. VIDAS and Humane Society International also spay and neuter animals if they weigh 1kilo and are healthy.

We can get the kitten spayed any day apart from Sundays. Drop off would be at 8.15am and pick up at 3pm the same day.

Please let me know which day you would like to bring her :-)

Since our permanent clinic began 4 months ago we have spayed/neutered over 500 cats and dogs! Special thanks to our vet Edgar and to all the people sponsoring his salary. With an estimated 14,000 cats and 10,000 dogs on the streets in Playa del Carmen alone spay and neuter is the only solution!

That is great Vanessa!! So I guess that means, there will be no room for me to sneak into one of your suitcases.
