Maybe you should start dating better looking chicks? Sorry D. I can resist anything but temptation. Wish I had some sage advise to offer, but all I could manage was a lame gag.

I take Lenny to Cenote Azul, but they will slap my wrist if they see Lenny swimming. The last time, no one was around to admonish me...so Lenny swam.

Oh that was good! I did NOT see that one coming! Really. I didn't.

Sorry Dalle. But that was a good one.

Yeah, the mexican way; if no one tells you to stop it's allowed. Thanks for the tip, I'll go there someday during a non-weekend.

CUTE!!!

I was going to say, I've seen photos of Lenny at Cenote Azul, but from what Rick posted, its not permitted. There are so many little cenotes with no fees/staff, hope u find some for the dog, sorry I have no suggestions.

There's a free underground cenote just outside of Chemuyil. It is at the intersection of the two roads that lead out to the Jungle Place. I'm sure you could bring your dog there.

Hi Dalle,

There is one in Tankah.......maybe worth checking out as it's quiet.. unless a guided tour is going on. may be worth checking out. i think our dogs are totally part of the ecosystem....they don't even wear sun bolck!

i hope you can enjoy a swim with your "best friend'!!

Yeah, I agree! Dogs should be allowed everywhere imo.. The sad part is that in Playa you are not allowed to take the dogs to the beach, but there are no other place you can take them.. There are not really any parks that are suitable for dogs or anything, the only place where it's open stretches of ground and no dangers to the dogs are at the beach! But no, not unless you wanna break the law and risk a 1500 mxn fine.. Grr..

I agree, I wish there were at least one part of the beach that was a "Doggie Beach", or like in Canada (at least where I am from) we have off leash dog parks.. Playa needs this..

not a cenote, but I found a beach where dog can swim

On your way back from Chemuyil, just before Akumal there is a sign on the hwy that says "Beach Bar". Go to the beach bar, they have access to the beach and dogs are allowed. Usually you'll see around 3 dogs hanging out there. I also saw a lady in the water swimming with her dog. It is the same bay as the Bahia resorts, on the Akumal side.

I tried to find somewhere to take my dogs and heard that Xpu Ha will tolerate them. Unfortunately when we tried to enter, my Chi started barking and gave them away. Nice to find this other beach. They even let my neighbours monkey hang out there with them for the day.

Good luck and have fun with your pup!!
