Restaurants on South side of Playa

It seems like most of the places listed are on the North end. Our house is just south of Senor Frog on the south end. Anyone have good recommendations (other than HC) on the south side? Any good Italian on our end? I have looked at the restaurant list but can't find much...Thanks

Carboncitos for sure!!! It is on Calle 4. Casa Mediteranea is on the south end= great little italian place. There are a lot of fabulous restaurants on the south end.

I like Carboncito's and Las Brisas. Both on Calle 4. And don't forget the food carts across from the bus station. Rolandi's is okay for Italian IMO.

La Kalaka is another fave. And lots of people talk about Manne's, but we haven't been able to eat there, yet. On the list for our next trip, though!

Agree that Carboncita's is one of the best in the south end. Oh, and I like Rolandi's as well.

Manne's on Calle 4! Great food, great bar. We eat at alot of taco stands, not alot of sit down places. Sandra's tacos on Calle 4 are very good. Couple taco places on Calle 6.

Don Marios on 10 Ave and Calle 8. Probably my favourite restaurant in Playa.

Just take a stroll on Fourth Street east to west-
Carboncitos (Mexican)
Las Brisas (Seafood)
Manne's (German)
That cheap taco joint on the corner of 15th and 4th (Mexican)
La Kalaka (Italian fusion)
Mom's Bar (home cooking)

I'm sure I'm missing something, but I'd be curious if someone could identify a street in Playa with more diverse dining options matched with quality.

I third Las Brisas.

And yes, Roni.. Jacko did in Post #5. But I think Las Brisas is much better. The staff at La Tarraya was disinterested and the beach/eating area was a mess when we went there last year. We didn't bother going there this year because of that.
