Top 10 Reason to Visit Playa del Carmen this year!

These are mine. What are your favorite things about Playa del Carmen? What keeps you coming back year after year?

We like all of your Top 10 reasons! But our idea of a fabulous nightlife is often no more than a great stroll down 5th Avenue people watching and stopping at the stores, bars, coffee shops or ice cream shops along the way. (-:

The weather (we go in winter)

The beaches

The local Mexician people

The price

The food

Taking walks and exploring beaches and eating places

The beautiful flora

Mom's Hotel

Mannes

Sitting on the roof watching Playa come alive in morning

~the beaches
~the unbelievable variety and quality of food
~the great accomodations like Luna Blue
~the hot climate and sun
~the good Mexican people
~the great friends I make with other tourists or those living in Playa
~the shopping
~the beach clubs and nightlife and bars and places to meet people
~the attractions, such as Xcaret, ruins, Xplore, snorkeling, Tulum, Akumel
~the affordability

Why we choose Playa over other places in Mexico when we go to Playa:

1) The water colour

2) good snorkeling

3) good diving

4) the sand colour

5) the unique cave/cenote system

6) the Mayan ruins

7) great restaurant selection in Playa

8) economical condo rentals

9) great diving

10) turtles in Akumal Bay

Actually, the only time of year that is consistently rainy, in our six years here, is October. Break out the galloshes 'cause it rains every single afternoon!

10. it has cool bars without floors
9. the sea water is the color of happiness
8. ice cold cheladas
7. there are bars with swings
6. i meet the most friendly people, and they're always smiling
5. there are vibrant colors everywhere i look
4. the sounds of mariachi make my heart happy
3. i can have pico de gallo and guacamole on everything
2. the sky is born there
1. there's no place else i'd really rather be......
