WONDERFUL

I love that city. I smile every time I see a picture of the "Jax Brewery' I remember the original building..it had to be the ugliest, worn out building in the world. NO is one great time!

One of our favorite cities to visit as well. We're only about 2 hours from our house to walking down Bourbon Street. Good rates in June and July due to the heat, and it WAS hot when we were there this past weekend. Gets us in shape for Playa.

I would have LOVED to seen Kenny - he is supposed to come with Jimmy Buffet to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach in July for a benefit concert.

Kenny put on a great show at Tiger Stadium, over 50,000 in attendance. Opening acts were Jason Aldean and Brooks and Dunn. Chesney brought out, during the show, Les Miles (who got a few boos) and Sean Peyton, the place went nuts. Later brought out Uncle Kracker and they sang 'Drift Away' and a couple more, it was the best Chesney concert we've seen, out of 3. Yes, Buffet announced last nite that he, Chesney, and Zac Brown would play a benefit on Thursday July 1. We get back from Playa on 6/30, gonna try and make it anyway.

According to daily news reports, yes, most businesses rely HEAVILY on May thru Labor Day to carry them the rest of the year., and they are hurting for ANY customers. Buffet concert will help for a few days, then who knows. You can go to www.al.com and click on the Mobile newspaper to find articles, pics, updates, etc.
