cenotes

only have 6 days- going this weekend! Plan to go to Tulum and akumal and really want to see a cenote. How/where could we just take a taxi or collectivo to one? was going to do Xelha, but I read that the cenote there is not much of one. Hidden worlds and rio secreto look like they are a little too much for us.

Then just go to cenote Azul....its just south of the Xcaret entrance so not far from Playa. Only a few pesos to get in - so pretty, and you can cliff jump!

Ditto this....head to Cenote Azul.

Right next to it, an easy walk on a jungle path, are two more cenotes too, which are also worth a look- El Eden and Jardines.

Azul is prettier while El Eden is better for swimming, it's bigger.

cenote

collectivo works just fine ... ask for the "parada" for cenote Azul or Cristalino ... they and El Eden are basically next to one another just south of Prto Aventuras ... less than a football field between each of them ... Cristalino, then Eden then Azul ... Eden is like a mile walk inland but the other two are a short walk ... any two w/a packed lunch make for a sweet day
