Jesus,
Thank you for posting these beautiful pictures. They bring to mind what I love about food stands and restaurants. I so much enjoy seeing the stacks of rolls, semitas etc. as well as the big clay bowls full of salsa, meats, and garnishes. It is all so showy and no wonder there are times that I am not even hungry but because of puro antojo (craving) I will buy and eat a torta or some gorditas. The same with the food mercados....they are just magic for me.

Nice pics. There's a hole in the wall local place here in California that has great tortas with al pastor meat, crema, and guacamole.
I haven't tried ahogada style, though. I heard there's a place up in South San Francisco that has them but I think I'll be in Playa before I make it up there. |
