Lunch on the Beach in Playa del Carmen!

One of the distinct advantages to being your own boss is you can take off just about any old time you please for a leisurely lunch. That's exactly what we decided to do yesterday. The "Wicked Burger" was calling my name so we grabbed Mitch and Kate and made time for Wicky's on the beach. In case anyone was looking for a Playa del Carmen beach update, here you go. I think we can officially lay claim to the whitest sand in the world!

Hi Michele -- Great photos!! You made me hungry!!

The beach looks great -- we were there right after the restoration was completed in the late winter.

Having said that....if we're going to have a follow up discussion about the whitest sand in the world -- I have to put in my vote for Siesta Key, Florida. THE WHITEST BEACH!! (Playa, close 2nd --

Okay, not a very good photo at all, and MY HUSBAND WOULD KILL ME if he even knew how to get to this forum, but...this does show the whiteness of the sand.....just sayin'...

me thinks that sand is actually crushed coral hence it is not so hot ... as far as lunch on la playa ... Playa Maya and Bad Boys are my favorites

Hi are they allowing the recliner chairs further out towards the water than the did in feb? i remember last winter we had to stay way back from the edge of the water? thanks

Although word on that can change with no notice. One day in June they informed us that we could put exactly 1 row of beach chairs farther out. About 2 days later, the reports that that would be rescinded start going around.

It's Mexico...
