I apologize for my lack of writing skills, and the format of the trip report/pictures. I know it's not the best.

Day 4--Thursday

This day was a good day. We all woke up and were ready to go by around 10, which seemed like a record. We decided that we sould spend most of the day at the coast. We started off at Goat Rock Beach, a very beautiful part of the beach. Then we proceeded south along the coast line and stopped at a few beaches along the way. We then arrived in the small fishing village of Bodega Bay. This was the town where the movie "The Birds" was filmed.

It was really need, we went up to a whale watching area where we saw a lot of whales, pretty cool. A lot of the afternoon was spent with my sisters and I exploring the beaches, taking funny pics, and just having a good time.

On the way back to the house, we stopped at a saltwater taffy shop and bought A LOT of taffy. After eating taffy the whole way home we were wound for sound.

When we finally got back to the house, it was time to make dinner, and just relax. After dinner, my youngest sister, Anna and I went out for a canoe trip for about an hour. We just talked, laughed, and had a good time. When we got back, we all played a couple games of Uno, then off to bed.

We are now just one short day away from my dad's big race, and nerves start getting to everyone on Friday.

**Uploading more pics tonight, will post after**

Day 5--Friday

Pre-Race Day!!!

Everyone took their sweet time waking up, which really bugs me, especially if know we have to get somewhere. After everyone got up, we all ate and then it was off to Dad's pre-race sign up/meeting/and set up. Dad and I went to the meeting, while everyone else just enjoyed the expo. It was very well set up, and lots of vendors at the expo. Then I went and helped dad set up his t2 spot (where you switch from biking to running). After that Dad and I just went for a short walking, talking about how far he'd come, how proud I was of him, and how all that was left was just do it. We met up with the rest of the "family" and went back to the house.

When we got back to the house, dad got his bike tuned for one last time, and the rest of his race day stuff together. While he was doing that, both my sisters and I went for a canoe trip for about an hour. Again, just sharing and having a good time.

Dinner was an emotional mess. I made steaks for everyone with mashed potatoes and onions. After dinner dad made a speech to all of us about how he couldn't of done it without us, and how he really appreciated us all being there. There was more said, but I don't want to get into right now, I don't feel like being an emotional mess here at work. Lots of tears were shed, mainly between him, my sisters, his girlfriend and I. Her two kids didn't really know how to react, and I can't blame them for that. After all that went down, we all sat around and played some more Uno, something that was becoming a nightly tradition.

Tommorow is race day, and for some of us, that means getting up at 3am. And a 16+ hr day....

So nice to hear that you were able to bond with your sisters. I can't believe the bike shop put the wrong chain on your dad's bike!

I love San Francisco. It's one of my favorite cities!

Hey - did you meet up with JG during the triathlon? I know you guys had talked about meeting up since he was there at the same time. He's a super sweet guy and ridiculously funny! I hope you got to meet him! I love getting to meet peeps! Got to meet JG & David B in March and we even did a run together! Next up is meeting Buggirl - I'm just going to show up on her door on that beautiful island of hers!

Love your report, TJ- especially the part about bonding with your sisters What a great family experience I love SF, too- I haven't been since I was 16, though. I think maybe it's time
