Iberostar paraiso beach

Hi there, my wife and I will be staying at the paraiso beach in december. I was hoping to have some input on this hotel as we have not stayed there before. We were at the Occidental Grand Xcaret last February and loved it.

Don't really know where to begin with this - do you have any specific questions? If so, ask away and I'm sure someone can help!

Hi Shammy, basically i just wanted to know how this resort is? food? is there top shelf alcohol ?. I keep reading that the beach isn't very good. I realize after reading and being a part of these forums, that you need to take everything with a grain of salt, but I've read a few things on here and other forums that seem to take away from this resort. I find it a little hard to believe as I read a lot of negative reviews about the grand xcaret, and my wife and i absolutely loved it. I just wanted to get a feel from other people as to how their experience at this resort was? any info from anybody would be appreciated. Thank-you

...go with an open mind and make the very best out of your stay...the rooms are well done...the pool areas are very beautiful...lazy river, waterfall, multiple swim up bars...very nice...it is a very expansive resort...lots of winding paths through lush greenery...the snack bar at the beach is very good...lunch buffets were our favorite...great ice cream at the ice cream bar too!...and the late afternoon hot dog cart--don't miss out on these little pieces of heaven!...

There is no lazy river at the IB* Beach, that's at the Lindo/Maya and you can't use that area or those pools unless you're booked there.

...oops, i guess they don't call it lazy river...my mistake...but the pool shared by the iberostar paraiso del mar and beach is like a long, winding pool, different depths from very shallow to deep...you walk under bridges...pretty nice...it starts at the waterfall and you can walk the whole length...it's beautiful...we stayed there in august 2009...

I, ve stayed there, we had a great trip.

The rooms were nothing special but they were neat and clean and frankly all we did there was shower and sleep.

Great pools, loved the buffet at lunch at the pool, they also serve breakfast there starting around 9? The beach is fine and large, I'm not sure what people are looking for that say it is not good?

There was some good booze, mostly at the lobby bar, the food at the buffet was good, and they even have an ice cream shop and taco place at the shopping place where the disco is, you can just take a golf cart ride from the lobby to get there.

We stayed there last year in October. I thought the beach area was awesome, pools were great, huge and well maintained. The ocean was a bit "wavy" when we were there, but it could just have been the time of year or a storm. Overall, great resort, loved it!
