CheapOair
Has anyone used CheapOair? I'm ready to book a flight, and their $100 cheaper than everyone else. I hate surprises and a hundred bucks is quite a price break,

I booked a roundtrip flight (Cancun to Ft. Lauderdale) in mid-October. Booked on Jet Blue's website with everything included for $205.98
. That's cheap .I noticed that CheapOair is also having a sale that, I believe, started today. |

"If it is too good to be true it usually is."
Make sure the fare includes all taxes and airport fees. Check the hidden fees such as checking luggage fee, carry on fee, paying by CC fee, the fee that covers hidden fees, and the breathing on airplane fee. Sorry, getting carried away but you get my drift, right? Good luck! |

Yes tax and fees included, and cheaper than the airline. Its still not the cheapest I have ever flown to Cancun but its the date and times that I want to fly. I read on Yahoo news a few days ago about a code on your ticket that controls how bumpable you are, generally the less you pay the more likely it is you will get bumped, maybe I will find myself waiting for the next flight.
What I don't understand is why the prices go up and down hourly. Anyway I will show up in Playa October 4th to have my front teeth capped. I will be by myself this time and won't know how to act. |

Hi Harold! Just make sure your not over-nighting somewhere. The web sites love to throw those in there and if you don't look close could miss it. I would also verify that price directly with the airline site. Hope everything is well, say Hi to Amora for me.

I was looking at some flights and spoke with my employer's travel agent about the fares. She said, "That $109.00 fare each way is excellent."
"You mean $199.00 each way, right?" "No, I mean $109.00. What you can't see online is that $90.00 of the posted 'fare' is a "Q" fare fee. So don't expect the fare to drop much." (From what I was able to find out the Q fare is a discount fare. IMHO it's not a discount fare if the airline is adding a fee almost equal to the 'fare' ) So, it works out to....$109.00 fare + $90.00 Q fare fee + other assorted taxes and fees = apx $500.00 rt per person. That excludes baggage fees btw. There was an article in the WSJ this week that discussed the lack of apparent rhyme or reason to the cost of flying. I don't know why they bothered. It could be summed up by simply printing "Here are examples of seemingly disparte fares. Here are some reasons for them. Go figure." |

Buying an airline ticket is getting as complicated (and tricky) as buying a new car!
Wanna drink holder with that? Extra $100 please. How about $350 floor mats? What's the baggage room? What's the leg room? What do you mean? One or two legs?

I was checking airfares for next year & found a direct flight from Newark NJ to Cancun for $304 ($400 with tax & fees) through Continental in June. I thought that's a great price so if any NJ travelers are looking, check that out.
