I see that the current list is dated 10-21-2010. Should I just print this one, or is there another revision in the works soon? We're heading down in mid-February, and I'll wait if there may be a newer one on the way.

The list is updated usually about twice a year. I'm sure its no easy task trying to keep up with all the openings and closings in Playa.

You know, with 28000+ members if everyone kicked in $5.00 we could probably get Dpreffer to move to Playa del Carmen full time so the list would be even more up-to date.

Ok, So being a Chef up here in New York I have an affinity for eating the best stuff and trying different places, local touristy, just something worth stomach space. In the last 3 years of playa visits I have definitely tried to make my way through the Playa list an feel fairly confident I have hit alot of the little non touristy must eats. My question to whomever may choose to join in. Is there anything I am missing that maybe west of the Mega(besides La Pesca) or something maybe down by ado bus station(west of it, san carboncito's btw good stuff). Thanks to all

Don Sirloin
The best beef tacos you can imagine, by far. Beats any place in town.. Juicy Sirloin steak tacos served in flour tortillas with 5 different salsas. A big plus is the place is clean (no bugs crawling the walls here), painted in white, and has a nice little garden on the back playing Nortenio music. Find it on 30th avenue, between 32nd and 34th.

have heard great reports on this place from long time residents
will try it soon, just not much of a beef lover

I think that Don Sirloin was (a year or so ago) was located at the corner of AV. 10 and calle 26. They did not survive long at that location. Never tried it so I can not give an opinion as to their quality/taste.

Great little taco place Calle 4 and Ave 15. 6 peso tacos, tortas I think 12 pesos. Soft drinks 10 pesos. Topped with finely chopped cabbage and sauted onions, good homemade salsa. Nice people.
