No, no, no!!! Don't be wishing that. Let's just wish for a nice gentle winter, and time to go quicker

Am I the only one who is actually looking forward to winter...even just a little bit?? The first snow is always a little bit magical.

I used to, until living through the hell that was last winter. My early January flight to Playa was delayed by 8 hours because a plane will freeze solid at 10 below zero! February and March were just more of the same.

Ouch.

I say this now, but by the time January comes I've had enough. Snow's really only necessary for Christmas. I wouldn't mind it gone by New Years.

Seemed so unnatural to me, when we visited Playa right after Christmas one year, to see the airport decorated with paintings of a tan Santa on the beach.

Having lived in Florida for many years and now living in the Midwest, Christmas is WONDERFUL in shorts and flip flops! Snow is magical on TV (IMHO), other than that I am cold from Sept-May!

Snow on TV always look fake.

I love the heat, but I am glad for the four-seasons we get here in Maine...even if they do seem disproportionate (Summer from June-September, Fall from October-Mid November, Winter from about Thanksgiving to March: when mud-season begins....)

I'm usually looking forward to the next by the time each one winds down and begins to change.
