Mmmmm...quesadillas de pollo...which happen to heat up nicely in a frying pan, if you have leftovers.

Actually El Fogon might be the winner by default. Not sure that there are many/any restaurants that are actually open into the wee morning hours where you can actually get a meal besides El Fogon.

Even if Fogon wasn't close to Mom's we'd still eat there a lot. The Frijoles Charros(bean soup) is great, tacos Pastor, arrachara....it's all good except for the slimy cacti stuff you get gratis.

the nopales are great
and everyone who talks about the great frijoles at el fogon should try them at carboncitos

go someday between 3 and 6 pm, get some tacos and margas and a bowl of charros
take two aspirin after you bump your head from falling down when you see your check

call me in the morning to thank me

There was a cart on 10th near Calle 12 that was still open when I went to the nearby OXXO for coffee around 5 in the morning

Never heard of this place. Where is it. I always thought that Mr. Kiwi was a hairy fruit.
