Eggs In A Basket

There are six eggs in the basket. Six people each take one of the eggs. How can it be that one egg is left in the basket?


EDIT: You may have noticed this thread was closed as soon as it was entered. That was not intended to limit your input or enjoyment in any way. On the contrary, your participation is most welcome. The action was taken to prevent eager Peeps from going into some search engine, finding the answer, and posting it, as happened on several occasions in the past. Bumper-are you planning on giving us a different answer for this 6eggs in a basket than you are for last weeks 6eggs in a basket? I know a couple of us have owned up to imbibing in a cocktail now and again,but I think even we will see the similarities

Sorry about that. Not surprising though. When you've got as much stuff squirreled away as I do, there's bound to be the occasional oops. I guess I forgot to delete it once it was used. It's reassuring to see that somebody is actually reading this stuff though. I don't suppose you'd believe me if I said this was a test, eh?

Anyway the official answer is;

The last person took the basket with the last egg still inside.
