If that was the place on 4th st just down from Ajua - then no, its been closed a while.

Cuervo del chango is also our fave....but if you want a REALLY good continental with fresh, homemade, authentic french baguette, croissant etc then Chez Celine was wonderful. Eating breaky in was much cheaper than buying to take out. For 1/4 baguette and croissant with homemade confiture AND fresh OJ AND a hot drink (hot choccy/tea/coffee)...65pesos. Good value.

Didn't have or see their other breaky dishes, but sounded good on the menu.

Unfortunately no. The guys that worked there were real gentlemen, a loss for 4th Street.

I know that I'm gong to try the french toast at Carboncitos. And, believe it or not, some of the best french toast I have ever had was at the Cancun airport at Bubba Gumps.

I was thinking at first Los Almendros was the place across from the El Tukan, where the road dips...about Calle 14 or 16?? It was upstairs? It had GREAT food, we went several times in 2002 and 2004....then they closed in the late 2000s sometimes....they made this amazing pollo pibil type dish....mmmm

anyone recall the name?

for some reason I am thinking Los Alizes.... ????

I eat breakfast at Carboncitos more than anywhere else, looove their omelets made to order, the Jersey Diner (eggs, bacon, french toast), and the huevos rancheros. Plus, Ana the server is the BEST.

I also used to eat breakfasts at Nativo quite a lot when I lived over near them.

Thanks a ton for all the helpful suggestions. I'm recognizing most of the places everyone has thrown out.
SnappySammy, I'll definitely be trying a green chicken enchilada. Mm'm
