true, lately when i walk from 54 to centro, the north end is more lively
more people in the bars and restaurants

the area around 38 is becoming the new "eating destination" of playa IMHO
great places, variety, and energy

I had dinner at Como Como last night (second time). Both times the food has been excellent but the beer has been far from cold. I had to use ice in my beer (which I hate to do) but otherwise it was to warm for me to drink. I was headed to El Emporio but I was closed (Sunday).

That's no way to win friends and influence people

Did eat there on our trip 2 weeks ago and had a very nice meal.Price and service were both very good as well.Hope they don't become a victim of their success.
As an aside Anna, also wanted to let you know that we finally made it down to Ziggy Beach on this past trip as well and it was beyond wonderful. The staff, the food and the location were all absolutely perfect. Will definitely be back there in March.

But I have to say that the food was good, and they are very very kind, good servcie, and to compensate they gave us a bottle of delicious red wine.
They are professionals, I'm sure they will keep the good standards up!!!!

I'm glad you liked Ziggy Beach!!

What do you mean when you say good value?

What was the range of prices for entrees, for example?

What was the range of prices for a glass of wine?

Thanks

Recent dinner for two with shared salad, shared seafood carpaccio, large bottle aqua, bottle of red wine (decent chianti) fresh pasta w/ 1/2 lobster and pollo dinner with mushroom pate and goat cheese was +/- $60 pre-tip.Entrees as I recall ran @ 100-180p.I may be a little low on this but I am sure others will pipe in.
Not cheap (by local standards) but a good value for quality, originality and presentation.
