What other local foods should I try?
What kinds of fish are most often available? Is it legal to walk around town with a bottle of beer in your hand? I prefer my margaritas on the rocks, not blended. How do I order "a regular margarita on the rocks" in Spanish? Thanks! |

Oh yeah. Carnitas literally is a diminutive of meats, so think little meats.
What you'll find, though, are pig parts, cooked in a huge kettle of it's own fat. For starters, try macisa which is tasty white meat from the leg roast. It's served with tortillas, cilantro and onion and your choice of salsas. That's a real taco. Later you'll be ready to try tacos de cabeza... |
