This 'condolence' book is really funny. There are some entries from children and I can understand that they are really sad. But from adults? This is ridiculous. Talked to my sister and she said she was reading it in the office this afternoon and when she saw some entries she was laughing out loud... This is just crazy.
Some people tend to anthropomorphize animals way too much. I agree that is weird Andrea, the comments from adults.

Although Judy is right, elephants are supposed to be quite intelligent and I am sure the baby elephant is affected negatively to some degree by it's mother dying...it's just not the way we humans understand grief and suffering. Syympathy notes to an elephant is just strange.
