The whole right wing "people are too PC" attitude on this board needs some counter balance...and making cheap jokes at the expense of people who disagree with such philosophy isn't the way to achieve it. And I'm not quite sure how anyone gets to "assure" others that the purpose of this "joke" was not to denigrate anyone but merely to poke fun at them (!!!) . What the hell is the difference between making fun of someone (making them other and lesser than you ) and denigrating them?

Tony, wouldn't you agree that the republicans and Bush have been the butt of many jokes the past 7 years? Even all the talk show hosts make fun of them. Or is this joke a little too close to home for comfort? It definatlely struck a nerve.
Why is everyone so touchy this month? It's the holidays, one that (what ever you believe in) is meant to wish peace and joy to mankind. Instead of fighting thru posts..send a pm to the offender...and help keep the peace...or just don't respond. Silence is golden....Now..I need to follow my own advice.
