Anyone have a street bike.....

Was wondering If anyone has one and rides. I am tired of the mid size cruiser I have and want something a little more zippy and easier to move around...Thinking about this....2011 Suzuki Hayabusa.

It sure looks hot! But did the boss lady say you could have one?

I'm sure it is something we will discuss down the road......More to the tune of what color helmet and what type of riding gear she wants.....

Have you ever ridden on a street bike?

Looks a bit 70s with that big front wheel covering.

How about a Ducati Streetfighter! Yeah!

Now you're moving into my territory of expertise...

If you want a FAST zUKI Hayabusa, look for a model from 2000. Those are the real deal.. 250mph easily!! If you want something along the lines of a street bike rather than a sport bike (crotch rocket), take a peek at Yamaha's Roadstar Warrior.

All of the new bikes have way too much in the way of governors, so when you hit speeds up near 110-120, they start popping. Who needs that crap from a performance bike... not that you can't get around it.

We call all motorcycles 'street bikes' other than dirt bikes here.

That style you posted we call 'sport bikes' versus the kind Don and I have, which we also call cruisers. Funny how terminology varies according to the region of the country or world we are from!

Sorry, I learned on a sport bike, a little 150 cc Ninja- but we have cruisers. I think the sport bikes would kill my back...I don't want to ride leaning forward.

That Ducati is hot!

Sport bike....Sorry about that. I have the same type bike that you guys have. Suzuki C90T....Midsize cruiser. A leather lounge chair that loves 75mph.

I just want something lighter and faster....Right now I am riding a 95 Honda CB1000 and you do not have that bent over feeling you are talking about. But I know what you are talking about. And I would not want to ride around all day bent over.

We had a Ducati in our garage. Beautiful bike. I like the streetfighter it looks like a cross between a sport and motocross bike. Very urban. Do I want to know the price?

I need something that I can ride everyday anywhere from 100/150 miles a day. 250mph would scare the crap out of me....Even though the cops do not chase motorcycles around here...hmmmmmm.

that scares the crap out of me too .....sport bikes are the types of bikes most people in motorcycle accidents are usually riding.

That Ducati does look a bit like a super moto bike....tall!

Comfort sure is a factor when riding long distances...I see guys on the highway riding sport bikes and they just don't look that comfortable! They are built for speed.

How about a super-moto? I think they are more comfy for longer rides?

I saw a super-moto that I liked a year or two ago...Had nice hard case saddle bags. Very stout and a military green color. hmmmmmm.
