I love dogs. And cats. But cats are easier. Just had a nice experience with the cats I'm cat-sitting for my sick friend. The timid one (who wouldn't come out from under the bed for the first two weeks I came by) was cuddled in my lap in the kitchen chair this evening for a good 15-minutes, purring and kneading my sweatshirt as I rocked him back and forth and we looked out at the houses across the street, all lit up with Christmas lights. I felt like I was consoling a little kid who's missing his mommy. Made me feel good but also made me almost cry.  |
That is so sweet! That's a wonderful feeling isn't it? Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy!
