Hello to all you PlayaInfo peeps

We have a lot of people to thank and we want you to know you have not been forgotten. We are just so busy here that maybe someone has been forgotten, and we want you to know that part of the reason we are so busy is because of your kind generosity in keeping the clinic moving ahead so that we can complete the missions on our schedule.

Right now we are in the midst of preparing for two very exciting and important missions: diabetes testing, the goal of which is to reach 30,000 people at risk of this, the number one killer in Quintana Roo. Diagnostics and education are provided by the American Diabetes Association and the University of Vermont. At the same time free operations are being provided for forty people in need with no other recourse to correct these problems, including gall bladder surgeries, hernia repairs and other surgeries. Dr, Moreno from Clinic Sacbe and Dr. Apelgren providing their time and expertise at no cost to the patient. But there are costs involved for lodging, meals and other needs.

Thanks to your donations and in kind donations of meals and lodging, we are able to provide these essential services to the wonderful people of Playa del Carmen and all over the Yucatan. So please bear with us, and know that we will be thanking you all personally if we have not already done so.

We will be posting news and photos of these missions which you have helped make possible.

i just want to say that lavonna redman is one helluva woman
the amount of work she does and the hours she puts into this entity are off the charts
she is an inspiration to me and every person whose life she touches

i was working today looking for restaurants to help us feed hungry doctors who give their services here for free
i met many people who told me stories about the wonderful work of lavonna
one man asked me to give lavonna a note, thanking her for helping him get up out of the bed he had been in for too long
i tell ya, if you get a chance to come to the clinic to meet her, you will not be disappointed
i have offered before, and i offer again: free rides to angel notion for the wonderful and generous members of playa info

and if there are any restaurant owners reading this, please call or email angel notion
we still need to feed some doctors next week
also, some of these people who need these operations cannot afford even the 1500 pesos that we need to pay the anesthesiologist
if you would like to sponsor an operation, you will have someone's lifelong gratitude, and the sincere thanks of all of angel notion

If this thread was titled 'No1 killer in Quintana Roo', it would get 1,000's of hits by people expecting to see narco action, only to find the reality that it's diabetes.

Let's see Fox News cover that, oh but it's not sensational enough, shame because it could be far more beneficial.
