BVI's March 2010

Well since I am new here I figured that I would post up some pictures from my trip to the British Virgin Islands last March. This is as much a learning post for me to see how I should be posting pictures.

Myself and 5 others rented a 60' motor yacht and tooled around the BVI's for a week. What a great time. Here are some pictures from the trip.

This is at the marina where we picked up the boat

Can't believe no one commented on this!!

Great pics. It has always been a dream of mine to rent a boat like that and bum around the VI's for a week or two. I know absolutly nothing about boats so that one will be on the back burner for awhile!

Looks like a great time. I have an event in Tortola in April and am excited.

Thanks Sit, Your going to love it there.

There are a bunch of outfits that supply the boat with a captain including the place that I rented the boat from.

WOW. Just WOW. Completely envious!!! I've always wanted to do this...albeit on a catamaran. Fantastic photos!

I'm sorry I didn't see this before! What a fun way to see the BVI.... we took a day trip from St. John to Tortola once and LOVED it there. I've always wanted to go back, and check out the other BVI too.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the BVIs. Jost van Dyke is my fave. My son spent 3 weeks sailing/diving the BVIs this past summer. Have only been to St. Thomas in the USVIs, and that was only a short overnight in Red Hook on board a sailboat. I'd LOVE to spend at least a week on a villa somewhere on St. John.

I once won a contest through Caribbean Travel & Life mag for a week's stay on St. John. We had a wonderful time, nice condo, rented a jeep, went boating and did some great snorkeling, but I think the highlight was going to Tortola for a day. We thought the people were far friendlier and liked the vibe there much more.
St. John was nice enough, but I'd rather explore the BVIs I think.

Just returned a couple weeks ago from the BVI's... we were sailing on a 41' catamaran. Your pics all look so familiar - we were at most of the same places!

One of the very best trips I've ever been on! It's so hard to come back home.

I just uploaded some more pictures on to photobucket for a friend that wanted to see them so I figured that I would add to this as well.

Going back to Playa again this year but I really want to do this trip again. Possibly for my 50th birthday and fish the Boy Scout Marlin Tourney out of St Thomas in July.

Looks like a great trip. One of these days we will charter a boat, and I'm not just saying that. Went over to Jost for a day trip last February from St John. Very quiet ferry ride over, very boisterous ferry ride back. Wonder how that happened????? Can you say Painkiller.

We had wanted to stay on Virgin Gorda instead of St John but the tight ferry times spooked me, so wimped out and took the easy route to St John. Was there any specific BVI that was your favorite???? Jost was great for a day but wasn't sure if we could spend a whole week there. Unless I brought a spare liver.
