Something New, Cool and Refreshing... also non alcoholic on 5th

As a long time member of this board .. I don't post often... but I want to take this opportunity to do a little promoting here to help out a new business.

Last night 2 friends of mine opened up a new kiosk on LaQuinta next to the tourist police booth near Liverpool.

There was alot of interest while buyers stood in line waiting to get their hands on a Slushie (the machines say FREEZE on em but its the same thing).

They have started out with 10 flavors for now but plan to expand.

Bring your own tequila they cant stop you from adding it.

Its not a Philly water ice but I wish my good friends the best of luck in their new endeavor.

Do you happen to know the price?

My kids will love this, until they get brain-freeze, anyways.

You lost me at "non alcoholic". Just kidding, thanks for posting as I am sure my kids will enjoy it in March!

I wish your friends the Best of Luck.
Problem here if they are busy/successful - in about 4 weeks there will be 10 copycats selling the same thing on AV.5

More power to the people who want to 1st spend the $$$ to buy the machines in the U.S. ... then import them.

I'm guessing it's not cheap to have them shipped to PDC... then finding a location which is everything and then paying off the right people.

Sure ... go for it.

I'm certain that equipment wise there will be an alternative. It might not be the branded American machine but that won't matter.

Paying off the right people won't be hard either.

I hope that they didn't invest too much, just in case it doesn't work out.

What are the flavours they currently have? I could see adding rum or tequila to a slushie.

There are slushie type machines everywhere. I think even OXXO has them.
As far as paying off people........the new administration comes in 3 months or so from now. New "people" to deal with.
My friend was the very first one (tienda on AV. 5) to sell wrestler masks. Now you would be hard pressed to find a store that didn't selling wrestler masks.

I went to check it out this afternoon. Great location (depending on how high the rent is), great little palapa set up and display, good looking sandwich sign, and great looking girl working the business. Free samples to boot. I think that puppy just might take. Good Luck again to the owners. Good job.

"The One's famous Slurpee" WTF . Do you mean "Once famous Slurpee"? If you do, I would say definetly similar but maybe more tropical (fruit) flavors.

The One. Obama. Keeps talking about the '"car in the ditch' and 'slurpees'.
You can't make this 'stuff' up.

You just did.

I believe what you are referring to is Obama saying that he and the Dems are getting the "economy out of the ditch" while Repubs are sitting back and watching, while sipping Slurpees.

I alway thought if I wanted to open a business there it would be snow cones( new Orleans Style) and frozen drinks...Daqueries would be even better...but I don't want to live there.....nor need an income. I wonder what took them so long? Something icy cold and refreshing has been needed for a long time.
