is the last week in May a good time to visit Playa?

Hello, I am planning my first visit to Playa Del Carmen on the last week of May....is this a good time of year to visit Playa? I guess I'm trying to decide since I read they get 5 inches of rain that time of year. can you suggest a better time? can you suggest an all inclusive resort that caters more to adults? thank you so very much. Royal Hideaway (13 and over but has anyone ever seen a kid there?)
