That makes perfect sense to me. I like the new name. Good choice.

Not sure whats up with that. We went on a Monday or Tuesday and it was open. The meal was very good, prices a little more expensive than some others but not too bad.

When I was there in April the Sunday closing was a one time deal..family emergency or family party..never quite figured out the answer...

Their Facebook page states they are closed on Sundays. So I guess they are open on Saturdays now? I was thinking about going there tomorrow, and wondering if they still have the same pasta menu as in the past. I want to get the spinach and cheese ravioli with pomodoro AND the fettuccini with pesto.

I have been dieting strictly for 3 weeks now. Tonight is the first night since I started that I am going to let myself eat something fattening. It's not even 10 am and it's all I can think about. I am so excited.

Ate there on a trip last month and it was as good as ever-Charley jr seems to be doing a great job and has grown into the host role admirably. New structure is a great improvement over the tarps and plastic tables while keeping the same vibe. Menu seems to be largely the same other than new printing. Will visit again during March for sure.

It was divine. The food was amazing and the renovations are beautiful. Can't wait to go back.

Edit: My friend and I shared the fettuccini with pesto and the raviolis. Both were great, but we agreed that the pesto was best. It's the best pesto I have had in town. It was four years ago, and still is. And Charley's son remembered me and Rick, even though it had been years since we have been there.

We had three big plates of pasta, three nice glasses of wine, and the bill was just over $500 pesos.

What used to be the front of Util is now a gelato place, which is brilliant. Just walk around the corner for dessert. Being there tonight reminded me of how much I loved living in that neighborhood.

And then we went back to Luna Blue and drank until they kicked us out. I am feeling so nostalgic. If you are in town and reading this, make sure you show up for the owners' goodbye party tomorrow.

Sigh.
