Newbie Checking in
Arriving in early Jan for 7 nights. Never been before. Looking for the offbeat, non-mainstream, out of the ordinary.
For a point of reference let's just say I'm over forty if that makes any difference.
Being a chef, I am of course interested in good restaurants particularly ones offering AUTHENTIC regional or local cooking. Seafood is high on my list. Going off the beaten path is cool. The lists of restaurnts in Playa seems fairly large which in general means that there are a few gems and more than a few clunkers. any help in that direction is a plus. Any nightlife suggestions would be an added bonus but I'll probably just bum around anyway till I find something that fits.
