A Salty View Of Playa

First off, how we came up with the name for this Trip Report. I had thought of several names, but this came to me with my first Margarita of this trip sitting at Fusions bar. I like my Margaritas salted, and I wear glasses, and I seem to always be getting salt on my glasses as I finish off my Margarita and that's is what happen with my first one, so here we are, and "A SALTY VIEW OF PLAYA" begins.

I'm think this one is going to take a while, being in Playa for 13 nights and trying to get back into working 12 hours a day plus the holidays are coming up fast.

It was great seeing old friends and meeting many peeps for the first time.

Love the KFC shirt Al is holding up!

and the SoftPaws on the kitty. Is that your cat at home? Mine hated those things, I gave up and lived with scratched furniture eventually.

I put SoftPaws on my yellow lab, this prevents our hardwood floors being scratched to bits in our home. She is a very tolerant dog, and they work wonderfully. I only use clear ones on her though, I tried pink ones once and got SO many questions about if I actually painted her toenails :p Plus I didn't want the other dogs to tease her lol...

Can't wait for more pics Jim, I LOVE your trip reports. I get tons of ideas where to try what foods from your TRs

Nice meeting you and Cheryl too, we saw you headed up the beach in front of Fusion last week around 10:30. You looked to be on a mission and Cheryl seemed to be having a hard time keeping up with you.

If you are wanting to try Don Ceviche's (the little shrimp place) on 10th Ave I'm afraid they have closed , never open during our trip and a for rent sign up.

After reading the KFC thread I new we had to bring Allan a KFC shirt and that one seemed perfect for him.

The kitty photo was at Friday Kitten Cuddling at Cocos. Seemed this guy liked to pick on the others a lot, and he also wanted ALL the attention.

went there the first night in town. they were out of the bacon wrapped shrimp. the shrimp chimichangas were okay....mixed ceviche was okay too.

We were probabley searching for Playa Maya for coconut shrimp, keeping up can be difficult when I'm focused.

Yes we did want the stuffed shrimp, I saw Don Ceviche's this morning but assumed it hadn't opened yet.

What's that dessert in the previous pic? The one with the pepitas sprinkled on top? It looks yummy!

They must have closed soon after your visit, too bad cause we really like the place but you just never know about a place. Seems like they change from day to day. So, how did your dessert list work out, I used it to some extent but I think our best dessert of the trip was from Mestizo's on 30th.

Thanks, I think I'm lucky we got out of Cocos without him (we have 3 at home now). The dessert was from CONINA 38 and our receipt says it was a Pastel Datiles but we think it was called a Sticky Toffee Pudding on the english menu, and yes, it was yummy.
