Thanks for asking that question A'ndrea and thanks for that answer Julie. I had been wondering the same thing.

Anyone have days/hours on Util? We tried to go there for lunch last Feb and it was closed...maybe was a Sunday but cant remember.

They were closed one day a week when we were there last March - I think it was Saturdays. But you know how things change in Mexico - hopefully someone who has been there recently or one of the Playa locals will answer.

The last I had heard, they are open Monday thru Friday from 2-10 PM and on Sundays from 5 to 10 PM. We love Util

Il Pescatore for pasta

I have had my issues with Il Pescatore because the name implies that it is a seafood restaurant, and I have found their fish to be mediocre at best. The pasta is, however, quite good. Unfortunately, the interior seats are uncomfortably hot from the kitchen, and I would only take a table furthest from the kitchen.

Il Pescatore

We ate there just last week with mixed results. Some of us were very happy with the meal; some of the group were not. The carbonara was great along with their specials. One member of the group got a slice of lasagna which was impressive and not cheap. I agree she paid more than the meal was worth. Seems a bit like a crapshoot just now.

We've eaten there numerous times and never had a bad meal. All restaurants can have a off night, maybe that was the case?

Still Open. Ate there for 1st time on 11/25/11. Soo Good!!

She made me Chicken Parmagian. It was grilled with tomatoes on top and lots of cheese. My wife wish she would have gotten it too!!

The owner is great!! I called her Mama and she loved it!
