Il Pescatore

Is Il Pescatore da Ileana still open? Last summer the owner said she was considering closing/selling in the fall.

Still awesome as ever!

Ileana is still going strong. Her food is as amazing as ever. We frequented there several times on our Xmas holidays with our entourage and everyone was equally impressed. IMHO, one of the few restaurants year after year that remains consistent.

Hopefully she never sells. Ileana is a sweetheart and the food has always been excellent!

I love this place, one of the best meals we ate in Playa! I had the lasagna and I still think about it, it was the best I've ever had anywhere.... and I've had my share of lasagna!!

We didn't make it this trip, but Harris and Paul did and said it was still wonderful.

Saw the title of this post and was scared to open it and possibly read that she had closed or something................
So happy to hear she is still there. Such a great restaurant and gracious hostess. All her homemade pastas are so delicious. And those meatballs......
Always a highlight meal of our trip.

My husband LOVED those meatballs - if I remember right they only serve them as a special - they are not on the regular menu. Our server recommended them and they were very good. I had the lasagna and it was very good as well.

Had a wonderful dinner there last week. The only better food that I have had in the last 2 1/2 (dinner) was a Wicky's. Food at both places is outstanding. Il Pescatore for Italian and Wicky's for their meat.

Hi A'ndrea - I just posted about this on the other thread. They both have good food but I have to give the nod to Util - even if their prices were the same. A real big nod because they aren't!
