swimup bar at Allegro Playacar?

OK, I've read some posts on the internet that say 'swim up bar was fun' and others that say 'if only they had a swim up bar'....

So which is it? Does Allegro have a swimup bar or not?

Thanks!

Absotootly, the Allegro does indeed have a swim up bar!

Wonder what hotel those other people stayed at?

Maybe they are confusing it with the Allegro Cozumel or the Occidental Caribean Village Playacar, which Allegro owns?

The Allegro Playacar does have a swim up bar, or it did in April 2001. We spent a afternoon there. A group of us had a lot fun. The guys played volleyball in the same pool. It was a great time. We met some nice people. I hope you have a wonderful trip.

.

now I understand the confusion....

We have friends who just returned from the Allegro.
There IS a swimup bar, however, it is not operational anymore i.e. they don't serve booze out of it.
Something to do with the new owners not liking a swimup bar so they closed it. I presume you can still wade over to it with drinks and sit on the submerged seats, but it is my understanding it is 'closed'.

.

back and forth....

well, we just got back from Allegro and yes, indeed, they DO have a swimup bar. At times it doesn't look like anyone is working there, but if you just wait a minute, someone will come over from the other side of the bar. It is a double-sided bar.

I have no idea how our friends missed the swimup bar...they were there for 2 weeks and almost never left the resort! Guess the drinks were stronger than they thought!

Sorry for the confusion....again

swimup bar

Dingo44 you are right.
I went to the Allegro on April 10 2004 and IT DOES have a swimup bar. The confusion I think has been created by people who didn't noticed there is TWO pools at the Allegro Playacar!!! The first pool is a "relax pool" and does not have a bar. Where the other pool ( the activities pool ) does have one double-sided bar .

Ok....... so if the first pool (non-swimup bar) is the "relax pool", what do you call the swimup bar pool? The "tense pool"??? Cuz that's where everyone gets STIFF???

(wish they had a smilie hitting a cymbal.....)

and while I'm at it, what's the symbol for ??? (am I naive or what??)
