Has anyone done a Alltournative tour?
Has anyone done Alltournative Coba Mayan encounter Pac-Chen or Chimuch tour? What is the difference between the two tours? Is it worth the money? I would appreciate any information. Thank you.

Hi!
We did the Coba Pac-chen tour and we loved it! It was a whole day filled with activities! We loved our tour guide, Lana and the group was great too so that may have made the experience even much nicer! They pick you up sharp on time at where you are staying, in my tour we went first to Coba, then to Pac-chen and thru the forest to do the zip-line (cool!!!), then to do the rapelling into the cenote (nice!), then back thru the forest to Pac-chen, did canoeing in the lake and then we had a delicios lunch prepared by the mayan people of Pac-chen. We had time to lay down in the hammocs and then on our way back we stopped at a gift shop where they treated us to a tequila shot and some flan (pudding). We had a blast and though it was very well worth the money! We did lots of exercise but not excesive and really enjoyed it! Hope this helps! |

Thank you for your quick reply. It helps me out very much. I think my husband and I would enjoy it a lot. Two more questions. Did you have time to eat breakfast at your resort before they picked you up? Did you book your excursion on line, thru Alltournative?
Thanks again. Bc |

Hi!
We booked the tour thru their website, I believe from the link here on this site. No problems with that and we then decided we wanted to change the day so we called from the resort and they rebooked us without a problem. They call you the day before to confirm your reservation and, since I wasn't in the room I called them just to check out it was all scheduled and had no problems with that either. They informed us of the time when they would pick us up, i think it was 7:30 or 8, we woke up early and went to have breakfast. So we did had time to eat and it's very important that you do! When I got to the lobby they were already waiting for us... oops! But they were nice about it and they had gotten there around 5 minutes ago so they didn't wait that long... I apologized like a million times! jaja Hope you have fun! |

Yeah, Mrs Juanito & I also went on the Coba - Pac Chen tour.
I can't think to add too much above what Azulita said. It was definitely great. Bring some extra cash so you can buy a picture of yourself on the Zip Line over the cenote and so you can tip the lunch staff. And so you can rent a bike at Coba. Hey, James or anyone: What would a good tip be for the lunch staff? Not only is this tour lots of fun; but if the area residents can make money from tourism, they are less likely to clear-cut the jungle, drain the lake and run cattle through what used to be a rain forest. And you can knock back a few extra cervezas that evening because you had some exercise during the day. The guide spoke English better than most Americans. |
