Walked into the ocean on our trip last January (totally sober - well, it WAS 7:30 a.m.) with my BlackBerry in my shorts pocket.

In my greediness to find the very best shells splashing around by the Consituyentes pier after falling off the sand "cliffs of dover" in front of the Grand Porto Real about a week after the beach was filled in with sand from Cozumel, I walked right into the water up to my waist.

It was only after I saw a guy put shells in the side pockets of his swim trunks that I slapped my forehead and sadly remembered that that indispensable device was in my pocket. Thank god everything was synced with my laptop back home.

BlackBerries do NOT like sea water by the way. And that was my second wrecked BB in six months. Doh!
