3rd Annual CA Wine and Tequila Peep Meet Planning Thread
It is time folks, to start talking about the 3rd Annual CA Wine and Tequila Peep Meet.
The W's are camping and I told them I would start the thread, since Bonny's Droid under Mike's control was having some fun and funny spelling things going on ![]() The only plans we have is a late June/early July trip to the midwest for Dad's 80th birthday Sylvia and John are starting a new business and are also going to become grandparents sometime before too long, the kid is in the oven as they used to say back on the farm So, let's talk about it. |

I really like that spa hotel across the street from Syl's. How much fun would that be!? Just stumble home after the party. Crossing the hwy might be a challenge though. You Face Bookers can talk about it there too and keep Colleen in the loop for me. (Or vice versa.) |

That would be cool! There's a place for 4 covered. We'll bunk with whomever. Caution: Apparently, I snore. Loudly. So I've been told by camping buddies, family, neighbors... I don't believe it, but just throwing that out there. Whoever falls asleep before me, wins.

I am thinking the last half of August would work best for us - not the determining factor, I know, but just our little bit of input. We could and would come earlier, but that would put it about 5 weeks after we get back from our midwest go see aging parents trip.
I will have passed a milestone by then. I will be over 59 1/2 and can use IRA money to pay for the trip if I want to, with no penalty for early withdrawal .

Late August in California for wine and friends. Late September in Eastern Oregon for hunting and friends. Mid November in Playa for beaches and friends. That's my tentative vacation schedule.

It would be fine to get a big place to share. Then we can all annoy someone else's neighbors. We did a lot of team travel with the girls. We'd sometimes rent a couple great big houses that held 2 to 4 families for the weekend... We had a lot of fun.

And no, we don't travel with friends and an agenda that we have to stay together 24-7. Everyone do whatever. And if we want to do the same thing at the same time, AWESOME. I'd like to hear some of thoughts on other spots if you guys are doing something in November.
