If he's outgoing, he won't have any trouble at all. There are endless organized games and sports going on all day long at the Lindo. Plus, as was just mentioned the waves can be very good, and there's all sorts of water sports too. He won't be bored. My daughter was 16 when we stayed there, and she had a blast. Your 8 year old will love the wave pool in the complex. Have fun!
