But there are serious moments where Karl shows that he IS a nice guy who IS concerned about others. I think he's a sweetheart! (and funny as can be - even when he's not trying). I think his verrrry strong London accent adds a lot to it.
Thats a Manchester accent that Karl has! Well done for bringing this show to everyone´s attention, I love it, but some things have to be taken with a pinch of salt!

For more Karl classics, search for podcasts of the Ricky Gervais Show, where Ricky and Stephen Merchant basically torture Karl and coax out more nuggets of wisdom, pilkington style., Very funny indeed and excellent radio that has kept me entertained on many a long road trip!

Have to say, this is the funniest show on TV right now. I have watched the 1st 4 episodes and I screamed with laughter many times! I loved when he was in Mexico. I loved how he said it was his favorite place so far. I'm madly in love with Karl now. I also love how whenever he talks to Ricky, Ricky is in hysterics.

Great show!

Hahahahaha, thanks chicalba you beat me to it! I was going nuts when I just read what you said Karen about it being a London accent - I kept shouting to myself: Manchester! it is Manchester! not London! Manchester!!! [Hi Karen btw, long time xx]

One of my favourite clips is the one below - where he had just been beaten to a pulp Mexican wrestling, traumatised by some charra horses, and fed a drink with a worm in it..... he stomps off in a mood behind a parked vehicle.... and comes running out again being chased by a load of bees....

Hahahahahahaha: "is ANYwhere safe?!"

Another funny bit in the Mexico episode was after the wrestling, when Karl got the call about participating in some Easter Sunday "festivities", and Ricky won't go into any detail, but does nonchalantly mention that the activity was something that the local authorities wanted to ban. Karl said something like "well I've seen how concerned the authorities are elsewhere in the country for health and safety, so if the authorities are trying to ban it, it must be absolutely mental". And he was right.

I don't think so, not yet. But it is on cable, the Science Channel. Check to see if you have it (we have a fairly basic package and we get it).

Raquelle261 I must agree with you there, that part where he walks off in a strop only to be attacked by the bees - you couldn´t make it up!

Bravo to you and gingele for posting these clips and making my afternoon a cheerier place
