hello from Wasaga Beach Canada

Found the playa web cam site and hoping to find it to say hi to grandkids back home. First time to PDC starting Monday for 1 wk. Buried in snow here, can't wait to see sand and sea! Hubby should only have to dig us out one more time before we leave!

Thank you! We are retired so don't really need to de-stress ... just de-snow!
We have been reading about PDC on line and want to leave the AI and scoot around a bit. Hoping to see the Mayan ruins, but general old age might prevent a lot of walking. We will do what we can! I took a few Spanish lessons this winter but don't know how prepared I am. Our teacher who is from Mexico said I will have to try tacos el pastor. Looking forward to it!

We know what you mean about the snow. The Tulum ruins are a fairly easy walk and right by the sea so not as hot. What ever Spanish you learned will be appreciated by the locals and you will learn more while you are there. Have a great time.
Cheers!

Thanks for the advice. I see you are from North Bay. We lived in Sudbury for almost 40 years before retiring .... not so cold here, but WAY more snow!

Welcome
Wasaga Beach now that's a blast from my past.Spent summer & winter weekends there in the early 70's.
My late husband was on the ski patrol @ Blue Mountain.
Wasaga 26 miles of sandy beach & you could drive on the beach then LOL

I think you'll enjoy Playa.Head for Bad Boys Beach Club thurs & sat 5-9 or 4-8 The Nasty Bastards play.Old time rock & some country. Sand dance floor & some have been known to dance on the bar LOL

Go Wasaga!!!

Just arrived in Playa to stay!!! This snowbird is from Collingwood! Staying at the B3 Hostel right beside the Fiesta Mall on Calle 5, until I find the right apartment...My son is running the lifts at Blue right now and is soooo jealous! So come on down and see what a real beach is like LOL Will treat you to a nice cold one at Carlos

Didn't have a chance to get back to you before now, sorry .... we are not staying in PDC - actually closer to Cancun. Original booking was where the explosion was, so we changed . We were looking at the Riu Tequilla (we thought it was too far from the beach, but in hindsight, after my husband and I read your vacation diary, I guess it would have been fine.) Anyway, that is what happened, but we are definitely going to make it to PDC - after reading for so long about it, we must go! We really enjoyed reading about your vacation. So much to do - so little time!
