I was wondering about that myself. Those shots look too well-lit for a typical point & shoot camera with a 12' flash range.

The visibility is amazing. Looks like you are just floating in air. WOW. I bet the water was cold, eh?

the pictures from the Cenote were taken by a pro that sells them to you when your done diving and did have an additional flash set up

It really was like floating in air, truly amazing. The water was cool but really not too bad. I would say it was only a couple of degrees cooler then the ocean. I had on a 3mm wet suit and wasn't cold at all

They look great! Was that an extra cost or was it included in the package?

It was totally separate from the dive shop. They have a hut near the entrance to the Cenote and they burn a disc on the spot. It had a short video of our dive, a bunch of still pictures of us diving as well as a ton of pictures various cenotes.

They charged me $35 for the disc

We also got great pics from a photo diver from the Cenote, he was so unintrusive, we did not even know he was taking picture, but the CD is awesome and the $35.00 was well worth it!

May I ask, what level room did you stay in at the Royal? Looks wonderfully comfortable!

Great trip report. Excellent photos!

Thanks

It looks like it might be Dos Ojos? That is where we dove.

Cenote Dos Ojos Scuba diving Cavern Cave in The Riviera Maya Tulum Playa del Carmen

If not, that is another cenote great for diving where they will shoot pictures and video of your dive and sell you the DVD after.
