RPDC Feb 6-13

WOW!!!! What an awesome trip. This was my first time to Mexico and I will be back!

The Royal was better then I could have expected. I am pressed for time right now and need to upload a ton of pictures but I wanted to get something started.

We had an early flight on Sunday morning out of Newark and everything went off without a hitch. Great flight down, met the transfer with out any problems.... and when we got to the Royal around noon we were amazed to find out that our room was ready and we got to check right in. After unpacking we took a walk around the grounds and stopped in at Spice for a quick lunch. I walked over to the dive shop that I had made plans with to say hello and make sure that everything was still a go for my open water certification class.

We went up to 5th ave and had a couple of drinks and looked around for a little bit and then back to the resort to get cleaned up for dinner.

We ate at the tapas place the first night as we had a late lunch and didn't feel like eating too much anyway.

Here are a couple of pictures of our fist day. More too come as soon as I can.

I love the RPDC! Seeing those pics makes me feel like I'm back there. Glad you loved it - can't wait for the rest of the TR.

Thanks but I can't take the credit for the pictures, the divemaster took the pictures with her camera.

Not sure of the model but it was a sony "PHD" (push here dummy) in a waterproof case.

Is that just the normal camera's flash? Or did the divemaster have an additional light source?
