What am I saying?
![]() Ample past evidence shows that jumping to conclusions and exaggerating to some extremist version others' points of view, rather than reading and paying attention to what they actually say in their posts, is the #1 most popular pastime in political discussions here. My bad. Forgive me. |

You can of course ask equinenut about her views but there is nothing in what she wrote there that claims a lack of unionized teachers will result in less educated people in the future. If you read, you will see that that is accurate. Perhaps you'd like to consider her points about "the attack [being] so clearly against our teachers and education in general", and the situation being so bad that some people actually think that "teachers are totally responsible for the state of Wis state budget". Both of these are things equinenut actually wrote, you see. Now, you may disagree with her assessment, of course, but that's a different matter. The question is, given a situation in any area in which teachers are so denigrated by some politicians in power, would you expect levels of education in that state to improve in the future? And lo, that is precisely equinenut's suggestion in concluding her remarks. Not that a lack of unionized teachers will lead to less educated people, or that only unionized teachers can properly educated kids, as in your inaccurate, extremist versions of her statements here. |
